SCOTUS UNDER ATTACK

A California man has been charged with attempted murder, after being caught near Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home with a handgun. The would-be shooter was ideologically motivated by the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Nicholas John Roske, a 26-year-old Californian man, admitted he had traveled from California to Kavanaugh’s home, with the intention of killing him in order to “give his life purpose,” according to prosecutors.
Here’s how the events unfolded:
Roske arrived at Kavanaugh’s Maryland home around 1 AM wearing all black and carrying a backpack and a suitcase.
When he spotted two U.S. Marshalls outside the home, he panicked, walked down the block, and called 911 and told them he was having “suicidal thoughts,” was armed, and planned to kill Kavanaugh.
Police arrived and arrested him.
Roske’s bags contained: a Glock 17 with two magazines and ammunition, a tactical knife, pepper spray, zip ties, duct tape, crowbar, pistol light, and a tactical vest.
His motivation: Roske admitted to the FBI that he was ideologically motivated by the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade as well as the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. He believed that Kavanaugh would loosen gun control and would overturn Roe v. Wade, so he hatched a plan to kill him.
Disturbing politics: In the days following the leaked Roe opinion, several prominent left-wing politicians issued calls to arms against the justices.
Chuck Schumer told supporters: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have unleashed the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot tweeted: “TO my friends in the LGBTQ+ community – the Supreme Court is coming for us next.
This moment has to be a call to arms.”
Nancy Pelosi is withholding additional security for the Supreme Court Justices, as the danger to their lives mounts. In May the Senate unanimously passed a bill that would provide security for Justice’s families. But Nancy Pelosi won’t bring it to a vote in the House.
Justices get individual security, but their families don’t. There is no security to stop a madman like Roske from targeting Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s children at school.
