CDC ADMITS IT OVERCOUNTED CHILD COVID DEATHS BY 24%

The CDC admitted that they overcounted pediatric covid deaths by 24% due to a “coding logic error” after they got caught changing the data on their website.

Initial number: 1,755 under 18 died from covid
Revised number: 1,341 under 18 died from covid

The coding ‘error’ wasn’t just limited to children. In total, the CDC removed 72,277 deaths from their tracker.

Initial number: roughly 851,000
Revised number: just under 780,000

After getting caught changing the numbers, a CDC spokesman told the Washington Examiner: “Working with near real-time data in an emergency is critical to guide decision-making, but may also mean we often have incomplete information when data are first reported.”

The problem with that excuse is that while the CDC fumbles with the data, health policy is being made by the state and federal governments based on their data.

It’s worth noting that children, according to the revised numbers, make up less than 0.1% of all covid deaths. And the mortality rate for kids (including unvaccinated) is less than for vaccinated older adults.
