BIDEN CAUSES AN INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT

Joe Biden created chaos on when he told a crowd in Warsaw, Poland that Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power” – a comment that was interpreted by the international community as a call to overthrow the Russian president – a Freudian slip that could have triggered war.
Biden delivered his speech in what I call “angry Biden” voice – where he squints his eyes and yells into the camera like a maniac while slurring half his words.
He ended it by saying:
“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”
The White House walked back his comments immediately after, saying:
“The President’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”
Biden himself walked back his comments. He was asked by reporters if he was calling for regime change.
Why you should care that Biden made this mistake: There are two key reasons:
Words matter in war – especially when you’re dealing with nuclear powers.
Imagine if President Kennedy was as loose with his words during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Joe Biden’s Freudian slip could have led to a kinetic war between the two biggest nuclear powers in the world.
As former CIA Director Michael Morell told CBS News: “It strengthens Putin at home…
And no Russian citizen, none, wants to be told by the leader of Russia’s main enemy about what their leadership can look like and not.”
Real talk: I think the only accident was that Biden said this out loud. As Jack Posobiec tweeted:
“The regime’s goal was to use Ukraine as a launching pad for regime change operations against Russia This was always the plan, only you don’t usually hear the president openly admitting it.”
This whole incident reminds me of the Barack Obama quote: “Never underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up.” [yes, this is a real quote]
