Will the FBI raid Biden’s Delaware mansion?
A batch of classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as Vice President were discovered in an office at the Penn Biden Center, which Joe used between 2017 and 2020. The discovery came right before the midterm elections, but the DOJ hid it from the public.
Note the FBI took the extreme step of raiding former President Donald Trump’s home summer of 2022 because he kept some classified material from his time in office.
The scandal isn’t really about the documents, in my opinion. The scandal is the two-tiered system of justice…
The timing: According to the White House, on November 2, Biden’s attorney’s found top-secret files designated as “sensitive compartmented information,” in a closet while preparing to move out of the office and turned them over to the National Archives the next day
…the midterm elections were the next day.
This would have been a massive scandal that would have hurt Democrats on election day if it were made public.
But somehow no one from the DOJ or the media let the information out until now… 🤔
The law: Trump can at least make the argument that he declassified the documents that were stored at his Mar-A-Lago estate. Joe, as V.P, did not have that constitutional authority.
Two-tier justice system: Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee appropriately pointed out to reporters
“Is the White House going to be raided tonight? Are they going to raid the Biden center? I don’t know. This is further concern that there’s a two-tier justice system within the DOJ with how they treat Republicans vs. Democrats.”
What next? AG Merrick Garland has reportedly tasked U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch to investigate the classified material. Lausch was a Trump-appointee.
