Tucker returns
Tucker Carlson announced that he is launching a new show and it will be hosted on… Twitter.
Axios reported that Tucker and Elon Musk have had conversations about working together…
Then Tucker announced his decision, tweeting a three-minute video that has already garnered over 17 million views.
He begins by explaining how mainstream news outlets are designed to hide the truth before explaining that Twitter is one of the last big platforms which allow unfiltered free speech.
Tucker says: “Starting soon, we’ll be bringing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter. We’ll be bringing some other things too, which we’ll tell you about. But for now, we’re just grateful to be here. Free speech is the main right that you have, without it, you have no others. See you soon.”
The legal stuff: The video comes on the same day that Carlson’s lawyers accused Fox News of fraud and breach of contract and claimed that the non-compete clause in his contract is no longer valid – giving him the freedom to launch a new show.

CNN tweeted: “Right-wing extremist Tucker Carlson will relaunch his program on Twitter”
NBC News complained: “Will anybody be able to police what Carlson says or is this the point? It’s just a free for all?”
Big picture: This move is emblematic of the larger shift away from traditional news outlets [print and cable news] towards free-speech platforms like Twitter, Rumble, and newsletters like this one. These are places free-thinkers are going to get information that doesn’t run through a corporate filter.
