There’s a famous quote from Vladimir Lenin that goes:
“There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen.”
We are experiencing those weeks where decades happen.
I want us all to take a step back and recognize how Trump’s arrest is being used by the media and the left to distract from the very serious domestic and geopolitical issues our country is facing thanks to Joe Biden.
But with that said, it doesn’t make the illegitimate arrest of a former president any less newsworthy.
TRUMP INDICTED
Donald Trump has been indicted by the Manhattan District Attorney for ‘hush money’ payments made before the 2016 election, making him the first President in American history to face criminal charges.
The charges were not publicly known, because the indictment has been filed under seal. (since then it has been updated, later in this article) But CNN is reporting that it includes more than 30 counts related to business fraud.
We know that these charges are bogus and that they’ve already been rejected by federal prosecutors as well as the Federal Election Commission.
Alvin Bragg: It’s important to know that Alvin Bragg, the District Attorney bringing these charges, is an extreme political partisan. He came to power thanks to a $1 million donation from far-left mega-donor George Soros. Since taking office, he’s downgraded 52% of felony charges to misdemeanors, putting dangerous criminals back on the street.
What Americans think: A recent poll from Quinnipiac University asked if the Manhattan DA’s case is ‘mainly motivated by politics or mainly motivated by the law?’
Motivated by politics: 62%
Motivated by the law: 32%
Trump responded in a statement, saying: “This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history. [Alvin Bragg is] doing Joe Biden’s dirty work, ignoring the murders and burglaries and assaults he should be focused on.
Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy pledged accountability, tweeting: “The American people will not tolerate this injustice, and the House of Representatives will hold Alvin Bragg and his unprecedented abuse of power to account.”
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted: “Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.”
What happened next? Trump is expected to surrender for his arrest where he’ll be fingerprinted and have a mug shot taken.
If you’re angry, you should be. This isn’t just about arresting Trump. This is a warning from the political elites aimed at the next American that might dare to stand up to them. They’re letting you know that they will hunt you down like a dog and ruin your life if you get in their way. There is no coming back from this moment.
And I’ll leave you with this… Jason Whitlock is a sports columnist turned political commentator. He spoke to Tucker Carlson and channeled the spirit we should all harness:
“I’ve never voted … I’m hardcore MAGA tonight. I will be voting… They have made me MAGA. And they have made me ready for whatever is next because what they are building for young people… I can’t sit by and let it happen without raising my voice.”

UPDATE ON TRUMP’S ARREST
We learned new details about the arrest of former President Donald Trump.
Here’s what we know…
In case you’ve been in a coma: Trump was indicted by the Manhattan District Attorney on charges related to ‘hush money’ payments he made before the 2016 election.
The timeline: This is how it’s all going down:
🗓️ Monday, April 3rd, 2023 afternoon: Trump flies from Florida to New York to spend the night in Trump Tower.
🗓️ Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 morning: Trump surrenders at the Manhattan courthouse, gets fingerprinted, and takes his mugshot. Once finished, he’ll fly back to Florida.
🗓️ Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 evening: Trump addresses the nation at 8:15 PM EST from Mar-A-Lago.
Peaceful protest: The New York Young Republicans Club will be joined by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday April 4th to protest near the courthouse at Collect Pond Park in lower Manhattan.
Arrests are good for fundraising, apparently: Trump’s campaign raised $5 million in the first 48 hours after the Thursday announcement of his arrest:
First 24 hours: $4 million
Following 24 hours: $1 million
Gag order: Trump’s legal team believes the judge presiding over his case could be preparing to slap a gag order on him. (they did not)
Breaking the gag order could result in a $1,000 fine and up to 30 days in jail.
Harmeet Dhillon, a big-time Republican lawyer who served as a legal advisor for Trump in 2020 told Tucker Carlson a gag order “would be a gross miscarriage of justice if it occurs.”
It’s going to be a wild week…

TRUMPS ARREST
Donald Trump surrendered to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and pled not guilty to felony charges of falsifying records during the 2016 election.
The media treated this arrest like it was a mix between the moon landing and the infamous O.J. Simpson car chase. But putting the spectacle of it aside, here were the key moments throughout the day:
Protestors and counter-protestors filled the park outside the courthouse.
Thankfully, there was no serious violence.
Trump arrived at the Manhattan Criminal Courts Building around 1:30 PM EST.
He was placed under arrest but wasn’t handcuffed or photographed for a mugshot.
Trump was arraigned, heard the charges against him, and pled not guilty.
‘SURREAL’: Trump doesn’t show vulnerability. It’s not in his DNA. But even he seemed to reflect on the gravity of the situation, posting the following on Truth Social:
“Heading to Lower Manhattan, the Courthouse. Seems so SURREAL — WOW, they are going to ARREST ME. Can’t believe this is happening in America. MAGA!”
Gag order: It was speculated that the judge could impose a gag order on Trump, preventing him from speaking about the case to the public, but that did not happen. The judge did warn against Trump posting on social media in ways that could lead to civil unrest.

BRAGG PROVES HE IS AS DUMB AS HE LOOKS
This one is gonna get in the weeds a bit. But it’s important to understand how the judicial system is being corrupted to target Trump.
Alvin Bragg, the Soros-funded Manhattan DA, finally dropped the long-awaited Trump indictment. It contained 34 felony counts of falsifying business records with the intent of covering up a federal crime.
Remember that the 34 counts of falsifying business records are the payments Trump made to his lawyer that should have been marked as campaign expenses instead of business expenses.
Let’s break that down…
Falsifying business records is a misdemeanor process crime – fine at most.
But when you pair that with…
the intent of covering up a federal crime, you get felony charges with a maximum sentence of 136 years in prison.
Here’s the problem with Bragg’s indictment… It does not name the federal crime Trump was allegedly trying to cover up.
When pressed by reporters to name the federal crime, Bragg told them “The indictment doesn’t specify because the law does not so require.”
Over his skis: Bragg alluded to potential felonies like campaign finance violations that put a cap on political contributions. But as Mark Levin pointed out on his radio show last night, Bragg does not have the jurisdiction:
“[Bragg] doesn’t have jurisdiction to even look at federal elections issues… you can’t charge somebody under a state statute… and say he committed this crime to cover up another crime [when] he’s not been charged with another crime.”
Unconstitutional: Further, if Bragg is correct and New York State law does not require him to name the alleged felony Trump committed, Mark Levin points out the state law would be in violation of the U.S. Constitution.
“You can’t possibly have due process if you don’t even know what you’re defending against.”
The icing on the cake: During his post-arrest press conference, Bragg told the press: “We cannot and will not normalize serious criminal conduct” – which is ironic, coming from the guy who downgraded 52% of Manhattan’s felony charges to misdemeanors since becoming DA.

The daughter of New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who is presiding over Donald Trump’s indictment, previously worked on the Biden-Harris campaign, as well as campaigns for other prominent Democrats.
The judge’s daughter: Loren Merchan is the President and Partner of Authentic Campaigns, which runs digital campaigns for Democrats. Here are some of the campaigns she worked on:
‘Biden-Harris’ during the 2020 election, according to her website.
”Kamala Harris For the People’ in 2019, according to her LinkedIn
Her website also touts work with Rep. Adam Schiff and John Tester.
Covering their trail: Since these reports broke, Loren has deleted her LinkedIn page and the Manhattan D.A’s office appeared to remove their “Meet Our Team” page. Hmm, wonder why?
Trump amplified the report on Truth Social this morning with an ALL caps post that read, in part:
“THE HIGHLY PARTISAN JUDGE & HIS FAMILY ARE WELL-KNOWN TRUMP HATERS… HIS DAUGHTER WORKED FOR ‘KAMALA’ & NOW THE BIDEN-HARRIS CAMPAIGN. KANGAROO COURT!!!”
Here’s the kicker… This isn’t even the most blatant case of political bias tainting the Manhattan case against Trump.
🎥 The case against Trump in Manhattan is so weak that even CNN had to admit it.
