MARCO RUBIO EXPLAINS WHY A NO-FLY ZONE WOULD LEAD TO WWIII

As the conflict between Ukraine and Russia rages on, there has been a push for NATO allies to enforce a no-fly zone over Ukrainian air-space. Ukrainian President Zelensky has made the request himself, and U.S. media has been promoting the idea.
But most casual observers don’t understand what enforcing a no-fly zone entails. This is why I was happy to see Florida Senator Marco Rubio underscore the possible ramifications of the move, while he was a guest on ABC News yesterday. He was asked, “Are you and your colleagues now more open to a no-fly zone?”
Rubio’s response:
“A no-fly zone has become a catchphrase. I’m not sure a lot of people fully understand what that means… That means the willingness to shoot down and engage Russian airplanes in the sky… So basically a no-fly zone… it means starting World War 3.”
“People need to understand what a no-fly zone means. It’s not some rule you pass that everybody has to oblige by. It’s the willingness to shoot down the aircraft of the Russian federation. Which is basically the beginning of World War 3.”
