JUDGE ORDERS JOE BIDEN TO CLEAN UP THE BORDER AFTER A FLORIDA LAWSUIT

A federal judge struck down the Biden regime’s use of humanitarian parole to release massive amounts of illegal aliens into the United States, noting the practice was unlawful and accusing the regime of turning the border into a “meaningless line in the sand.”

Shortly after taking office, Biden limited the use of detention facilities for those caught crossing the border. Instead, he implemented a policy referred to as ‘Parole + ATD’ – giving illegals humanitarian parole + Alternatives to Detention.

In other words, they were set free into the U.S. homeland, giving them a cell phone and a court date, which they often don’t show up for.

The lawsuit was brought by Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody against Biden’s Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and other federal officials back in March 2021.

Florida alleged that Biden’s policies were ignoring federal law that requires that those entering the country illegally must be detained.

The ruling: U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell agreed with Florida and ordered federal immigration authorities to revamp their border policies.

He stated in his ruling:

“For the most part, the court finds in favor of Florida because, as detailed below, the evidence establishes that defendants have effectively turned the Southwest border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country.”

He said Biden’s policies were “akin to posting a flashing ‘Come In, We’re Open’ sign on the southern border. The unprecedented ‘surge’ of aliens that started arriving at the Southwest Border almost immediately after President Biden took office and that has continued unabated over the past two years was a predictable consequence of these actions.”

That last line is telling. The judge puts the blame squarely on the Biden regime.

What happens next: The order goes into effect next week, but it is likely the Biden regime will appeal before then which would delay implementation.
