Joe’s phony job ‘recovery’ THE TRUTH ABOUT BIDEN’S ‘FASTEST AND STRONGEST JOBS RECOVERY’
The U.S. Labor Department reported that the economy had added 372,000 jobs in June, which was well above the 250,000 that economists had estimated.
Additionally, the unemployment rate remained low at 3.6%.
Joe Biden ran to the nearest microphone to claim victory, saying:
“This has been the fastest and strongest jobs recovery in American history.”
Not so fast, Joe. As inflation rages +9.1% in June and real hours earnings declined for the 16th straight month, Joe Biden has continuously pointed to the “job recovery” that’s happened since he took office.
Let’s look under the hood at that
“recovery.”
1. Between February 2020 and April 2020, the U.S. economy hemorrhaged 22 million jobs thanks to the Covid lockdowns.
2. From May 2020 through January 2021 9 months, the U.S. economy under Trump added back 12.5 million of those lost jobs.
3. Since Biden took office [18 months], the economy has recovered another 9 million jobs.
The truth about Joe Biden’s job success is simply that Americans are returning to the workforce after the economy was artificially shut down. And more than two years later, he hasn’t even been able to bring the workforce to its pre-pandemic levels.
