BLM is headed for bankruptcy
Black Lives Matter (BLM) risks going bankrupt after losing millions in 2022 while paying several staff members million-dollar salaries.
BLM is best known for the “mostly peaceful” George Floyd riots in the summer of 2020 which resulted in $3.8 billion in economic damage. It’s also known for its founders who are self-describing Marxists that have used donations to enrich themselves and their families.
According to tax return documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, BLM ran an $8.5 million deficit and saw its investments lose roughly $10 million.
Seven-figure salaries: Despite the financial turmoil, BLM paid out several 7-figure salaries to friends and family of its founder Patrisse Cullors including:
Paul Cullors [her brother] who was paid $1.6 million for providing “professional security services” for BLM in 2022.
Shalomyah Bowers, a close friend of Cullors and BLM board member, was paid $1.7 million through his company, Bowers Consulting.
Next steps: The charity brought on a new board of directors led by nonprofit advisor Cicley Gay, who has experience filing for bankruptcy.
What a scam…
