Biden polling collapses against Trump
Former President Trump has opened up a massive lead over Joe Biden in the latest mainstream media 2024 poll. The same poll found that Biden’s approval amongst Americans is at an all-time low.
The data: According to the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll, which surveyed 1,006 Americans between April 28 and May 3:
49% of voters choose Trump
42% of voters choose Biden
…that’s a 7% lead for Trump.
The last time ABC/WashPo ran this poll in January, Trump held a 3% lead over Biden.
For what it’s worth, the same poll has Ron DeSantis leading Biden 48% to 41%. also a 7% lead.
The Real Clear Politics average [which combines all of the Biden/Trump head-to-head polls] currently has Trump over Biden by 1%.
Biden’s approval in this poll crashed to an all-time low of 36%. The last time the poll was conducted, back in February, his approval was 42%.

Biden’s mental sharpness: The poll went on to ask Americans if they felt Biden had the “mental sharpness” to be president:
63% said no, he doesn’t
32% said yes, he does
The timing: This poll comes just one week after Joe Biden officially announced his intention to run for re-election in 2024. Ouch…
